We’re a small business run by two entrepreneurs: Maria & Ulrik (and our little dog Ramoncito),
who love Lofoten, good food, and creating memorable moments for every guest.
Our dream is to make your visit a little more special.
We’re Maria and Ulrik, a couple of sailors with a love for the sea, a passion for good food, and a little dog who’s the heart of our crew. Our home is a sailboat, and our backyard? The stunning Lofoten coastline. We’ve spent years navigating these waters, sharing ski and sail adventures with fellow sea lovers. But when summer rolled around, we noticed something: while Lofoten is a paradise, many travelers still head to the Mediterranean for their sunny escapes. So, in 2024, we decided to bring a taste of the sea to those on land. Combining Ulrik’s Norwegian roots and my Colombian flair, we launched our food truck, serving up crispy fish and chips made with love and sustainably sourced seafood. It’s our way of sharing the flavors we cherish with everyone who stops by. But this venture is about more than just food. It’s about regenerative tourism, giving back to the land and communities that welcome us. We’re committed to sustainable practices, from saying no to single-use plastics to ensuring our seafood choices support healthy oceans.
Fiskemottaket was born from a simple idea.
To bring life back to a place that once shaped the soul of Lofoten.
We want to create a year-round meeting place where food, people and stories come together.
A place that feels real, warm and alive. Not polished, not perfect, but honest.
Our vision is to build something that belongs here. Something rooted in fishing culture, local knowledge and everyday life in the north. A place where visitors do not just consume, but understand where they are, who lives here, and why this place matters.
